Microplastics – Nanoplastics
In the biology class we discussed about microplastic - how we come into contact with it and what we can do to reduce plastic pollution. This activity helped us to realize how harmful microplastic is and how important it is to reduce plastic consumption. The most exciting moment of the activity was observing the different types of microplastic!

The Biology workshop was an unforgettable experience that combined scientific research with environmental awareness. We gathered in the biology lab along with the students from Romania to detect and analyse microplastics and nanoplastics in water samples, comparing our findings. This project allowed us to develop practical skills in microscopy and environmental science while deepening our understanding of pollution. Our teacher explained everything in detail, making the process both educational and engaging. Beyond the scientific aspect, we also raised awareness of a critical environmental issue, realising the impact of plastic pollution on ecosystems. We learned so much, and this experience will stay with us forever!
