We took part in a debate during the Political Studies session, focusing on the idea of responsible consumption. We learned how to view both sides of the argument and that everything is debatable.

During this activity the Romanian and the Greek students, after being put into mixed teams, were able to present their arguments and debate separately the benefits and negatives of buying two products, those being an iPhone and some Nike shoes. This activity acted as an eye-opener to how some of the most well known products can be either environmentally damaging or beneficial for the environment. Personally, I found this particular activity to be really informative in the sense that we analyzed both sides of the coin regarding the products but most importantly it helped break the ice between us. Seeing how we had to work in mixed teams in order to present standing arguments not only gave us the chance to interact and collaborate with the Romanian students, but also allowed us to exchange ideas and worldviews.
