On-site meeting

Before saying goodbye to each other, we got together to plan Awareness Days in our schools.

“On our last day, we discussed responsible consumption campaigns and worked in mixed teams to come up with ideas for how to make the school more eco-friendly.

We had lots of fun finding ways to reuse, recycle and share responsibility for our school activities' ecological footprint and culture. I did not expect to identify so many simple ways of being more mindful of sustainability issues while at school. Installing more water fountains and bringing reusable bottles at school, sharing books across years, creating storage spaces for donating used goods, but also for exchange between each other (even between teachers and students), organising diy sessions for school supplies, being more strict about proper waste management and disposal.

We could also campaign for the city council to fund solar panels and tablets for all students.  The activity was highly interactive, and we are hopeful for the future of our sustainability journey at school.”

“When us and the Romanian students started to work on our last project, the campaign, we felt inspired and motivated as we continued our work on responsible consumption. Working together again in mixed teams brought fresh energy and creativity. We shared practical ideas like reusing materials, organizing DIY sessions, and improving recycling. It felt great to collaborate on making our school more eco-friendly and sustainable. The fact that we once again had the chance to interact with the Romanian students and share ideas and opinions has been overall a great experience!”

Online meeting

The Romanian and Greek students held an online meeting to further discuss how to organise sustainable consumption awareness days at our respective schools. We also took part in online TwinSpace forums where we contributed more ideas about eco corners and art workshops in our schools.
